I have a job! Four months before my current AmeriCorps position ends, and I know what I'm going to be doing next year. AHHHHHHH!
There are so many positives:
- I'm going to be working on child law issues
- I'm based at the American Bar Association
- It's a real (public-interest) salary! And probably will have decent health insurance
- I'll be near my family and my soon-to-be born nephew
There's a couple parts that aren't so great:
- My partner is taking a job out of state and we'll live apart for the year
- I'm really sad about leaving Boston. I thought I might live here forever
- Just thinking about paying for another bar exam (you can waive into DC) is terrifying
For right now, I'm going to focus on my bucket list of things to do with our remaining time in Boston. Stay tuned!
