Justin's Homebrewing Debut

Last Tuesday Justin served his homebrew at a special event at Meridian Pint, an awesome restaurant in Columbia Heights. Meridian Pint has a unique approach, pairing economic sustainability (composting trash, buying windmill energy credits, and hiring employees that can walk to work) with serving awesome American-made craft beers. Every other month, it welcomes about twenty homebrewers to serve their beer for free and to be judged.

Justin didn't take home Top Homebrewer (this time), but he did get some pretty good scores:

Justin,
Your Citra Zinger IPA places 5th out of 18. The range of scores was 86-117 and you scored a 113. Very good, only 4 points off gold. I look forward to seeing you at the next event and thank you for participating,

-Sam Fitz
Beer Director
Meridian Pint

Thanks to Mac, the rugby guys, and Zach for showing up in support and helping to drink free beer. Justin will be competing again - I think on Tuesday, May 10 - and I will post details here in advance.
