Whirlwind month of visits

February was a blur. And that's probably a good thing, considering it's my least favorite month. First, I went home the last weekend in January for Mac and Deirdre's wedding. I missed the Polar Bear Plunge, which I've done for the last eight years, but the wedding was beautiful and just a great celebration of their relationship. I know, a very cheesy thing for me to say, but it was a lot of fun.

Over Presidents' Day weekend, Alyssa came to visit the physical therapy program at BU, and Pink came to visit Rhi and me. The four of us went to the Taza Chocolate Factory in Cambridge. If you've ever been on the Hershey's tour, Taza was like a two-room, all organic version. At the end, we had unlimited time in a sample room with dark chocolate blended with flavors like: coffee, salt and pepper, Mate (tea), chili, cinnamon, and salted almond. It was really neat to see how the chocolate is made. They use handmade grinding stones which produce a coarser chocolate than what you normally get, and all their chocolates are designed to be made into drinking chocolate. I'm not usually a fan of paying more for organic foods, but I'm definitely a convert for Taza. You can taste the difference when chocolate only has three or four pure ingredients.

The next week was even better. I was on spring break, and headed back to DC. In seven days I managed to do: dinner with my mom, sister, and Justin, take Izzy to the vet, visit Friendship Place and get lunch with Christine, check out a new brewpub Hops with Katya, enjoy delicious cider with Darcy at Ebenezer's Coffeehouse, dinner with my mom, Bmore bars with Scott, dinner with Pink, MEY, Z, and Chrissie, and lunch with Lindsay. I did a little bit of schoolwork, too. It was an awesome, whirlwind week and I am so happy that I got to see so many friends.

Now I'm headed back to Boston, with a stop at Justin's parents' house in Franklin on the way. The adventure continues!
